The Old Forge. – Twin self build bungalows

This project was initially for a single bungalow for a private client within the sizable grounds of their current dwelling. It is a self build project and we provided the design , planning and building regulations information and drawings for the client  as well as construction information for the build. Clayland also assisted in some of the preliminary ground works before the client took on the task himself of construction. The successful planning approval lead onto proposals for a second bungalow. This was to be sold off as a plot to help fund the self build scheme. Once again the new owner came  back to us to make some minor revisions to the design and to then produce building regulations and construction information. The new owner also took this on as a self build project taking on the role of project manager, and in this case Clayland Homes provided the manpower for footings, and the construction of the shell, and continued to offer support during the build phase. Both these bungalows a re to be completed early 2018, and represent another traditional self build project in our locally popular Norfolk vernacular style.
